A Bad Day Turned Good

Much of the past week has been gloomy and rainy. Despite the wet weather, we still got to enjoy some time outside, a couple of the boy's friend's birthday parties and more over the weekend.

Sunday, with more gloom in the forecast, we decided that after naps the whole family would bring IPA to the DIY Doggie Bath. I think this is a brilliant concept... Just show up with your stinky dog, and Bubbly Paws has everything you need to freshen her up. Raised bathtubs, soap, brushes, towels, toothbrushes and hairdryers.

When it's warm here the kids like washing IPA in the yard with the hose. But it's cold here a lot, so IPA hasn't been getting bathed enough. The DIY dog bath was novel enough to intrigue them. Although next time I think we'll tackle it with just one of the kids instead of all three of them together. Otto's got a trigger finger on the water sprayer. Max was most interested in turning the vacuum on Joe.

After IPA's bath the weather took a turn for the best. So, with sun shining and temps warming up, we strolled to the park near the dog wash. The boys got to play on the playground, run around and explore the pond. Then we raced our way, from tree to tree, up to Trader Joe's.

When we were leaving Trader Joe's, Max commented how today was a "bad day turned good" because it started out dark and rainy and had turned sunny and warm.
